AT LUNA FARM & SANCTUARY
At LUNA, our horse program is centered on education, rescue support, ethical care and lifelong support. Everything we do with horses is centered on welfare, transparency and informed ownership. Please see the tabs below this one for more info on each service!
Our horses are partners, teachers and individuals and not commodities.
Boarding
We offer limited horse boarding in a calm low stress environment where each horse is treated as an individual. All horses receive daily care and observation, clean and safe living spaces, proper nutrition and routine, and calm handing and respect.
We welcome owners who value education, communication and welfare focused care.
Horses are turned out during the day and stalled oat night. Daily feeding and basic care are included in all boarding packages. Boarders have full use of barn amenities, and we value open communication and transparency.
Meet, Learn, and Connect
Just like our rabbit education program, our FREE pony sessions exist to help families and individuals learn what life with horses is really like.
These sessions are hands-on, educational, family-friendly and calm and pressure free.
There is no riding involved. The focus is on learning, safety, confidence and respectful interaction.
During Pony Sessions, Visitors Will:
- Feed ponies with provided treats
- Groom and interact with them up close
- Learn about horse behavior, care, safety, and daily routines
- Ask questions about ownership, boarding, and horse life
- Decide whether horses or ponies are a good fit for their family
Perfect for first-time horse loves, kids, families and anyone curious about barn life.
Our photography sessions are more than just pictures! They are experiences with purpose. Each photo shoot combines the beauty and presence of animals and meaningful moments. Whether you are capturing holiday memories, family milestones or something truly unique, we provide a one-of-a-kind experience you won't find anywhere else.

Surrenders
We understand that life changes. Most of the time, we absolutely have space for surrenders and accept them on a case-by-case basis. If we do not have space, we offer guidance and support to help owners make responsible decisions.
We are non-judgemental and will take a horse in need with no questions asked. You are responsible for transporting the horse to us. We have several great resources we can share with you, but we do not have a trailer at the moment.
