LUNA Farm and Sanctuary was established in 2025 by a small group of teen girls with heart, on 300 acres in Signal Mountain, Tennessee, a nice community just outside of Chattanooga. Our humble beginnings included only a few animals, some horses, some fencing and a run in shed with pastures!
We have an extraordinary, small, but dedicated team that keeps everything running with heart and hard work. LUNA's team is unlike others, as it consists primarily of passionate high school students. Our team members bring fresh perspectives, enthusiasm, and a deep love for animals. We believe in fostering a hands-on learning environment where youth can grow, gain valuable experience and develop a lifeline love for animals, while paving the way for the future generation.
The story about LUNA
LUNA was established in 2023, on 300 acres of land in Signal Mountain TN, a nice community just outside of Chattanooga. Our humble beginnings included only a few horses, some fencing, and a one-stall barn.
Since, we have grown into a small-scale rescue group, riding school, and boarding barn. We now sit on 4.7 acres, have 6 stalls, a riding area, turnout paddocks, seating areas, tack room, and the best students and helpers around.
Our dedicated crew of barn girls ensures that the day to day runs smoothly so we can focus on the teaching of lessons, managing the barn and everything in between.
We offer lessons to all levels of riders, host onsite birthday parties, run our summer and school break camps, board horses, and rescue horses, cats, and rabbits. Through all our growth we have maintained our basic philosophy, and that is to bring the joy of horses and riding to all. By keeping costs down we can get more people in the saddle, enjoying the outdoors, and learning about barn life.

LUNA Farm & Sanctuary, is a private, self-funded, family owned and operated rescue dedicated to saving and rehabilitating DOMESTIC animals of all shapes and sizes. We specialize in cats, dogs, horses, and rabbits, , and are dedicated to the care, protection and promotion of these critters. From surrendered ponies to abandoned barn cats, every animal here is given a second chance and a loving home. Our services include rescuing, training and retraining, rehoming, selling, and leasing select species, while educating the public, and selling products.
Because we are self-funded and operate on a small, limited facility, we are a for-profit business, and all our proceeds are reinvested directly back into LUNA. We work closely with each and every animal to ensure they receive the care and attention they need to thrive. Each animal is carefully assessed to ensure they are placed in their perfect home that meets their individual and unique needs. There is a very special list of requirements that every furry participant needs to meet before they go to a new home. Our program is known for rehabbing animals who have experienced trauma or neglect and helping them build trust and confidence. In order to do this at the best of our capabilities, we only have a few at a time.
