Volunteers are the heartbeat of LUNA Farm & Sanctuary. Every hour you give helps provide safety, comfort, and compassionate care to animals who rely on us. Whether you’re cleaning barns, preparing feed, or simply offering a gentle presence, your contribution makes a real difference.

What Volunteers Do

Volunteers help with a variety of essential tasks that keep the farm running smoothly.

  • Feeding and watering animals

  • Cleaning barns, stalls, and enclosures

  • Restocking supplies

  • Light maintenance and organization

  • Socializing animals who enjoy human interaction

  • Assisting during events and tours

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You don’t need farm experience, just a kind heart, willingness to learn, and respect for animals.

  • Ages 10+ (under 15 with guardian)

  • Able to follow safety guidelines

  • Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons

  • Reliable and communicative

OUR RULES

We prioritize the wellbeing of both animals and humans.

  • Move calmly and quietly around animals

  • Keep gates closed at all times

  • Ask before entering any animal area

  • Report concerns immediately

  • Treat every resident with patience and compassion

VOLUNTEER SCHEDULE

We offer flexible volunteer opportunities throughout the week.

  • Morning shifts: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM

  • Afternoon shifts: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

  • Event days vary and will be announced in advance

Recurring volunteers can choose a regular weekly shift.

HOW TO GET STARTED

Becoming a volunteer is simple:

  1. Fill out the Volunteer Application and email it back to us

  2. Attend a short orientation at the farm

  3. Complete your first guided shift

  4. Join the LUNA volunteer community
