TEEN INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

ONE FULL SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABLE

A Real, Hands‑On Internship for Animal‑Focused Teens

The LUNA Farm & Sanctuary Teen Internship Program is a year‑round, immersive training experience for girls ages 12 and up who are serious about working with horses and rescue animals. This is not a casual barn visit, it’s a commitment‑based program designed to build real skill, confidence, and responsibility.

We are currently accepting new applications, with summer admission available.

WHAT INTERNS WILL DO

INTERACT

Interns work directly with our horses, including rescues in rehabilitation, and participate in the daily operations of a working farm. Assist with rabbit and small‑animal rescue & rehabilitation

WORK

Work hands‑on with horses (including rescues in rehab) and participate in daily farm operations.

LEARN

Learn handling, groundwork, care, and training fundamentals, plus ride regularly. Yes, riding is an opportunity!

This program is ideal for teens who want meaningful experience, not just a quick visit or petting‑zoo environment.

This Is NOT a Casual Program

Working with horses and any kind of animal requires focus, respect, and physical effort. This program is:

  • Hands‑on

  • Physically active

  • Responsibility‑driven

  • Team‑oriented

This is not a petting zoo, drop‑in activity, or light hobby program. We are selective and accept only students who show readiness, respect, and genuine interest. Our interns grow tremendously, and we are proud of the strong community of families who trust us.

Program Cost

The cost is only $10 per month, with one full scholarship available.

Why so affordable? Because our mission is to make horses and animal care accessible to more young people, not just those who can afford traditional riding programs.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT WELCOME!

Parents are invited to participate, observe, and be part of the experience outside of program times if they choose. Many families enjoy being hands‑on and helping us grow.

If your daughter is passionate about animals and ready for something real, challenging, and deeply rewarding, this may be the perfect fit.
